Sonographer OFF

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will perform high-quality ultrasound examinations, with a focus on general, obstetrical, and gynecological imaging, to support accurate diagnosis and patient care.

This role requires strong technical expertise, excellent patient interaction skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced outpatient imaging clinic.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and position patients for ultrasound procedures, clearly explaining the exam and addressing any questions
  • Perform a range of ultrasound examinations, including:
  • General (abdomen, pelvis, small parts)
  • Obstetrical (dating, NT, anatomy, growth)
  • Gynecological imaging
  • Acquire and optimize diagnostic images ensuring accuracy and proper labeling
  • Maintain detailed and accurate patient records and exam documentation
  • Adhere to infection control, safety, and clinic protocols
  • Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare professionals to support timely diagnosis
  • Ensure ultrasound equipment is maintained and functioning properly
  • Provide compassionate, professional, and patient-centered care
  • Maintain strict patient confidentiality at all times

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
  • Current registration in good standing with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario
  • Experience in general and OB/GYN ultrasound required
  • NT certification preferred; training available
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, pathology, and medical terminology
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a busy clinical environment
